Weekend Trip to Nashville!

Last weekend we decided to take a trip to Nashville, TN just for the heck of it. Fortunately, we only live an hour and a half away!  We wanted to get out of the house, be tourists and enjoy life.  We are always up for a road trip and traveling to new places.  And I am glad we did. I actually really liked the city of Nashville. Very clean. Lots of stuff to do. Lot of places to hang out. It was nice. Not too busy like New York,  and not too boring like Huntsville.

When we got there, we stopped at Chipotle to eat.
Needless to say,  I was a very happy Tina. I love the stuff, okay?!

Since I am quite interested in Greek Mythology, I figured we'd stop at the replica of the Parthenon located at Centennial Park. It was cheap, $6 for adult admission and something to do and something new to learn.  And yes, the part in the movie, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, where they head to Nashville to retrieve the marble was actually filmed at the Parthenon. They had props and the actual manuscript/ screenplay showcased. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take pictures in that section.

Christmas and 2012!

Christmas was a success! One of the best Christmas's we've had in awhile.
My mom, dad and brother drove down from NY and my sister and her boyfriend, Corey, drove from Georgia to celebrate Christmas with us here in Alabama.
It didn't last as long as I had hoped, but I was glad that I saw my family again. There was alot of food to indulge and of course, it was delicious.

 Mom's homemade lasagna.
Meatballs, Italian Sausage(hot and sweet), Ricotta Cheese, Mozzarella, homemade "GRAVY" and lasagna noodles.

 Christmas Cupcakes. Topped with Poinsettias.
Salad, Spaghetti, Fish Filets, Seafood Diablo, Lobster Tails, Shrimp Scampi, Fried Shrimp, Baked Clams. MANGIA!

Homemade cookies! :)

Presents!!

New Years Eve was alot of fun as well. We spent it with John and Kevin, a fellow co-worker, at his place with his wife and step kids. It was real fun. Played some poker. Sophia danced. Good Party Food and LOTS of Jello Shots!  Good times and good start for a new year!

My resolutions this year is to not be so hard on myself and not constantly judge myself.
Evan's is to quit smoking.
One day at a time!

Me and the hubby, we were a little tipsy.
